Established in 2009 by the Research Grants Council (RGC), the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) aims at attracting the best and brightest students in the world to pursue their PhD programmes in Hong Kong’s universities. The Fellowship Scheme will provide a competitive annual stipend and conference and research-related travel allowance per year up to three years.
The Research Grants Council of Hong Kong is launching the Thirteenth Round of the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (the “Scheme”). The fellowship provides a monthly stipend of HK$26,900 (approx. US$3,400) and a conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$13,500 (approx. US$1,730) per year for a period of three years. 300 fellowships will be awarded for PhD studies commencing in the 2022/23 academic year. The deadline for initial application is 1 December 2021.
