Call for applications for the next LERU Doctoral Summer School 2025 

Dear PhD students, 

We invite you to apply for the next edition of the prestigious LERU (The League of European Research Universities) Doctoral Summer School, which will take place from July 21 to July 27, 2025, at the University of Copenhagen. 

The theme of this year’s summer school is "Artificial Intelligence across University Disciplines – Perspectives and Hands-on Experience."This summer school is designed to provide PhD students with exceptional professional and personal development opportunities that go beyond regular PhD training. Participants will experience an international, interdisciplinary, and intercultural gathering of bright young minds, offering long-lasting valuable experience for their future careers. 

PhD students from Charles University will not be required to pay the participation fee of €600. Travel costs for the selected participant will be reimbursed by the Rectorate of Charles University via a refund to the faculty. 

Conditions of participation: 

The selected participant is expected to actively disseminate the knowledge and experiences gained from the summer school upon return. 

The application must include the following documents, all in English: 

• First and last name 

• Gender 

• Email 

• Affiliation (university, faculty, department) 

• Title of the PhD project 

• Motivation letter 

• Structured CV
