            Replacement of the abbreviation of the academic-scientific degree "Doctor".

            The abbreviation “Dr.” can be replaced with the abbreviation “Ph.D.” (used after the name)
            paragraph 10 of Act No. 111/1998 Sb., Higher Education Act).


            Applies to graduates of Charles University who have completed their doctoral (formerly pos
            studies by December 31, 1998

            (Section 99 of Act No. 111/1998 Sb., enters into force on January 1, 1999).

            Applies to graduates of Charles University who have completed their doctoral studies in th
            theology that have been awarded the degree “doktor teologie” (Doctor of Theology, abbrevia
            used after the name) by August 31, 2016
